Cornell Families – we hope your school year is off to a great start! The Cornell PTO is gearing up for the annual Cornell Wolf Pack Run on Friday, September 27 (rain date 9/30). In your child’s backpack you’ll find a large white envelope: that’s from us!
Each year we hold the Cornell Wolf Pack Run to raise funds for the year’s events and supported programs. All funds support a wide variety of needs at Cornell, including playground equipment/maintenance, school-wide reading programs, the science fair, field trip transportation, classroom learning software, teacher start-up funds, and many more!
Our two-week fundraising period, which starts now, culminates in a run around the track, complete with a fun warm-up, awesome DJ’ed music (thanks, Augie!), group photos, and popsicles. Each grade level will warm up on the black top and then take their turn running around the track. During the run, SHOUT OUTS are read over a loudspeaker to encourage your child during the run.
You can donate by sending cash and checks (made out to Cornell PTO) to classroom teachers in the white folder sent home. For those donating $50 or more, please remember to fill out the SHOUT OUT form on the outside of the folder and send it back to teachers. You can also donate online by clicking the link below and paying with credit card through Zeffy. By default, Zeffy adds a 15% OPTIONAL donation to themselves to cover credit card fees and their operating costs (they’re a nonprofit). You do NOT have to pay this: instead, click the “Other” option and enter $0.

We appreciate any help – whether it’s by volunteering and/or by donating! Parents are welcome to come watch the run and cheer on their wolves. Below is a table of grade-level run times.

Group photos will be taken and passed on to classroom teachers, so don’t worry about taking your own.
Prizes will be for the whole school as we progress in our fundraising. When we raise 50% of our goal, the kids will earn a PJ and stuffy day, when we hit 75%, they will have earned a popcorn party, and once we reach 100% of our goal, we’ll all earn an EPIC glow party! Additionally, for anyone who donates $75 or more, your child’s name will be entered into a raffle to serve as Principal for a day! We’re so excited to see how this goes, so let’s make this year a huge success!
We will give our Kindergarteners and students new to Cornell a new Cornell Elementary Wolves shirt on the day of the run. If your student is returning to Cornell, please find your child’s shirt and have them wear it for the run! If you like the shirts, be sure to look for our Cornell Elementary gear for sale after we complete the run!
Finally, we do need a good number of volunteers to help with the event. We’d love our volunteers to arrive for setup around 1:15pm at the pavilion. Sign up using this link:
