If you’re looking to get involved and volunteer with the Cornell PTO this year, don’t worry, you don’t need to make a big time commitment or even have attended a PTO meeting (although everyone is always welcomed)! Please feel free to email and let us know what events or programs interest you, and we will contact you with more information. Find the PTO board’s contact information here.
Wolf Pack Run –
Each year the Cornell PTO holds the Wolf Pack Run to raise funds for the year’s events and supported programs. A two-week fundraising period culminates in a super fun run around the track complete with group photos and a popsicle. We don’t ask students to sell anything! Thank you to all who helped make this a successful and fun event and fundraiser!!
Global Cornell –
Global Cornell is a celebration of our school’s cultural diversity. We ask Cornell families to sponsor a room and share their culture with the community. We’ve had many families work together and create shared cultural experience. All students and their families are invited to come and learn at the Learning Centers in each room. It’s a wonderful evening mixing education and fun!
Mileage Club –
From Monday, March 31, until Friday, May 16, every student at Cornell will be eligible to start participating in Mileage Club. Running takes place every M/W/F during lunch recess, and every child chooses their own level of participation.
We will be tracking miles with an app, like last year, to cut down on manual data entry, and we need a lot of volunteers to make sure we have 5 people scanning each day. Parents are welcome to come watch their kids run any time! Click here to sign up!
Yearbook – Collect pics during the year, send to us by mid-March
Please reach out to [email protected] if you’re interested in taking photos, adding photos, or just helping with yearbook!
Science Night –
Science night is open to all Cornell students wanting to participate in a science fair project, no matter their grade. Our student-lead science fair projects are done at home with parental help or supervision and then displayed and/or demonstrated in the gym.
Family Fun Night –
This event will end the yearly Mileage Club running. Students will have 1 more hour to run laps to reach their 20-mile token! We will also have our raffle fundraiser, an inflatable, some food trucks, treats, and fun!
Listed below are volunteer opportunities – contact a board member or check back in April to sign up to help!
Field Day –
Kids will take turns competing against each other in fun outdoor games in the afternoon. Listed below are volunteer opportunities.
